Chinese Scientist Sentenced to Prison in Theft of Engineered Rice
I hate to feel this way, but at this point I would not let any Chinese-born and educated there have access to any advanced development technology. Yes, I know that that would be unfair to perhaps the majority of them, but the decades of stealing technology from us have been damaging, and I think we really, really have to take steps to stop it. Whether they steal it for personal gain, as in the case in which I was involved, or because of pressure from the government there and the vulnerability of having family there, doesn't matter. It just needs to be stopped. However, I very much doubt that any such steps will be taken. --Del
